camp Spirit 2020 Info!! FREE ONLINE SUMMER CAMP OPEN TO EVERYONE

Hey everyone! 

I'm sure you are wondering or might have some questions about this online camp. Hopefully this blog post will clear up some questions you may have.

I'll start by introducing myself. HI! My name is Emilie AnnMarie and I first got the idea/inspiration for camp spirit from Loey Roberts (who is the founder of the online camp, Camp Revival) She is so awesome and I am so grateful to her for the inspiration for Camp Spirit. I did week 1 of camp revival and the very first message of the very first day was about how you can use social media and the internet to benefit the kingdom of God. Right away I knew that God was calling me to action. I stayed up late that night with my mom going back and forth on ideas and the Lord really laid the idea of a camp based on the fruit of the Spirit on my heart. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but it would be worth it.

This camp is ALL About the fruit of the spirit (no, not the coconut! lol) Each day will be devoted to a different fruit, except Saturday's which will be review days and Sundays which will be rest days and we will only have prayer and worship on Sundays. On August 7th ( the second Friday of Camp) we will actually be focusing on grace, mercy, and forgiveness since there are only 9 fruit of the Spirit. 

Camp Spirit is a two week long, all online, absolutely FREE summer camp for youth grades 6 - college. We will be meeting from July 26th - August 8th. Everyday we will have PRAYER time, WORSHIP time, devotionals, messages, time to talk with other campers and make friends, game time, contests, and much more! We will be sending out a rough draft schedule to everyone signed up, closer to the time of camp. Campers do NOT have to attend everyday of camp in order to participate. If they can only do one of the weeks, that's perfectly fine too. We will be using Zoom, GroupMe, Instagram, The Youversion Bible App, and possibly the band app. Campers do NOT have to be Christian or even know anything about Jesus to come to camp. Camp is open to ANYONE and EVERYONE! And because it is online, anyone around the world is welcome to join!

We will have teams! Every camper will be on a team and each team will have friendly competition throughout the two weeks, competing for points. The team with the most points at the end wins (we aren't sure what yet, lol) 

 Leaders however, should be present for as much of the camp as possible. Leaders will be talking with campers, discussing the messages, but will not be giving messages themselves. Leader will have the opportunity to talk with campers and pray with them 1 on 1 and will also have the opportunity to learn, just a

s much as everyone else. I am still in need of leaders so if you are interested, please let me know.

Speakers will prerecord their messages to the campers and many speakers will do a live Q&A on Instagram with me after all the campers watch their message for that day. The Guest Special Speakers will be announced soon, so get excited!!! ( We will have short bios coming out on them as well)
